Ok, I committed a first draft of the dev guide to CVS, under .../src/dev. I 
created subdirs to better manage the docs. I had problems with the images 
though, until I put them under the build dir on my local install: 
.../build/doc/html/images, instead of the src/dev/images dir (the latter

be part of the source... This to say that the images are not in CVS now.
