I'm very interested in learning more about castor too, but more the
RDBMS mapping part. Of course I'm more the OODBMS guy but if peformance and
scalability are good I would of course consider using it in projects where an
RDBMS is a requirement. In the past we have done our own mapping tool. In fact,
our tests with castor show the same problems as our mapping solution. So far
performance and scalability of mapping solutions (including castor) seem to be
not comparable to real OODBMSs. The picture changes if castor is used as
back-end for an EJB server. Since EJB is very RDBMS oriented this surely makes
sense (as far as I understand the EJB stuff). Other experiences?
