I worked on FreeBSD first, too. But I had too
many problems because there is no jdk1.2.
We even tried to get it running with
the jdk1.2 from linux and linux-lib-emu.
But unfortuantely there were strange socket-errors.
But I heard that the new linux-emulation is much
better.
I ended with setting up a debian-workstation.
