I'm aware of shutdown problems if there are pending transactions - which is not
the case here. Hmmm...

... I'm not sure if 1.0x or 1.1x fixes this. There are the shutdown hooks added
but the shutdown code itself is the same. You may try the latest CVS however.
This might give us at least more info.
