RE: Problem on Windows 2000

Falko,

The thing that gets me is that in both cases I was using JDK1.2.2 so the JVM
is the same. Also, the strange thing is that even when i create a database
in Windows 2000 from scratch and try to store test2.xml i get a socket error
at the end
even though it seems to store the XML file (but when i store the test.xml
from samples there is no error)

ozone relies on Java serialization. So differences between JVMs is always a
problem - although i didn't encounter such problems on Linux. Another
problem
is the format change between the ozone versions, which sometimes makes
databases
incompatible too. We need a tool that dumps complete dataabase content in a
file. This would be very helpful for backup too. Unfortunately such a tool
is
not available yet.
