Status of the ozone project

Hi all,

I have to forward this message, which I sent to Raul some days ago after he
unsubscribed the list, to the list because it IMO reflects the status of the
ozone project very well. Comments are - as always - welcome.

Hi Raul,

I very appreciate your honest answer.

On Wed, 13 Sep 2000, you wrote:

To be honest at my side: the dev list is not a support forum. I'm not able to
answer each and every question. I'm trying to answer as much as possible but in
your case it seemed that you are interested in developing ozone and so I
thought you should be able to track down the problem. And, I had absolutely no
idea whAT the problem could be.

This, of course, is not acceptable.

I share your vision here. I'm really really really willing to discuss
interfaces, architectures, whatever high-level stuff you can think of. But so
far, the response from the mail list was very limited when I tried to discuss
this kind of things.

I don't think that we should pack in as many features as possible. But in fact,
I'm almost the only one coding. So I'm coding things that I need to use ozone
in my projects. Yes, it looks like a one man show but did ask for ideas, hints,
comment that often. What else can I do to force people to throw in their ideas
and visions instead of just unsubscribing the list, like you did?

ozone needs a clean up and a strategy overview? Fine! What are your ideas? I'm
totally open minded in this regard. And, even more important, why don't we
discuss this in the list?

perfectly!

But you, on the other hand, will also agree that a problem that appears just for
one person _may_ be caused by other reasons than just the code. (Sorry, I
couldn't resist to ;)

So, what are we waiting for? Let's _finally_ get this babe taking of!
