It's a very simple solution to provide a "transactional environment for
persistent Java objects". (if simplicity is a win for you)
ozone's single instance architecture should be a win. (otherwise you shouldn't
use it). It is well suited to serve applications with a relativly high number
update operations and concurrent users/sessions and complex object structures.
See, http://www.ozone-db.org/documentation_main.html for more information on
that.

What is a real situation?
"Dr. H.K. Suhas" <suhas@cad.delhi.nic.in> has recently reported that his team
is providing a "CAD / CAM Software on top of MATRA's OPENCASCADE" using ozone.
But I don't know, if they have benchmark results. And, even more important, I
guess that benchmark results from a CAD system are completely useless in other
application domains.
